About Gamma Phi Beta Sorority
Gamma Phi Beta was founded on November 11th, 1874 at Syracuse University in New York by four young women: Helen M. Dodge, Mary A. Bingham, E. Adeline Curtis, and Frances E. Haven. The term "sorority" was coined for Gamma Phi Beta.
Gamma Phi's mission is, and has always been, "to inspire the highest type of womanhood."
Our sorority focuses on four core values: Love, Labor, Learning, and Loyalty.
The motto of Gamma Phi Beta is "Founded upon a rock."
Our symbol is the crescent moon; the flower, a pink carnation; the colors, brown and mode.
